and then i found a few articles from the baltimore sun and los angeles times through the pbs website:

"'Best Horse in World', Says Jockey of Seabiscuit After Race." The Baltimore Sun, 2 Nov 1938.
I also searched the lexis-nexis and time.com and the periodicals that are in the library, but I couldn't find anything good enough to use. I am going to go to my town library this weekend to see if they have any old periodicals that might have something on seabiscuit from the east's perspective, and I still would like to search some records and statistics sites to see if they have anything about the attendance of seabiscuit's eastern races.
I think I have adequate secondary and primary sources to start outlining and forming my paper's basic topics, but as I start to fill in my paper and see the arguments that emerge I might need to supplement the sources. I think it will be easier to find more relevant, important sources once I have a clearer idea of what my paper is going to say.
